Downtown Seattle hotel prices are out of control this Taylor Swift weekend
It will be a raucous weekend in Seattle with the Toronto Blue Jays in town, but the actual ticket is Taylor Swift, and hotel prices are out of control in the Pacific Northwest city thanks to her tour.
Swift descends to Seattle on Saturday, July 22, and the Blue Jays are playing three games in a row starting Friday.
According to Expedia.ca, the cheapest hotels for this upcoming weekend in downtown Seattle start at well over $1,000!
Sure, inns and motels are available for cheap, but visitors who want to be in downtown proper will need to spend an arm and a leg.

For comparison’s sake, let’s use The Paramount Hotel in downtown Seattle as an example.
If we select Saturday, July 22, and Sunday, July 23, as the check-in and check-out dates, you’re looking for CAD$1,315 before taxes and fees.
Book one week later and the price drops significantly to just $420.
For some reason, Expedia lets you sort prices from high to low for those who like to live dangerously.
Paramount is the most expensive hotel in Seattle this weekend, but the Hilton Motif in Seattle has rooms starting at $1,242.
Many available hotels are listed with only one or two rooms at the cheapest rates. The most affordable rate available is $354 at a Comfort Inn about 22 km from downtown Seattle.
Despite the show being this weekend, there’s still lots of ticket exchange chatter on social media for the Swift concert in Seattle.
Asking for anyone selling Seattle Taylor swift tickets for either night. I need two tickets please. 🫶🏼

There’s a good chance that border lineups will be a gong show and we’ll have the latest on that as it unfolds.
