Starting Thursday, the party-hard Five Hotels & Resorts starts accepting bookings on its very own 16-passenger private jet, promising that the entertainment will begin before you even get to Dubai. A developer has progressed proposals for purpose built student accommodation in Glasgow city center after previously gaining consent for a hotel at the site.
Caledon Property Group hopes to knock down the disused commercial buildings on the corner of Hutcheson Street and Trongate, and replace them with a 173-bed study housing facility.
In February 2020, permission was granted by Glasgow City Council for a 157-bedroom aparthotel at the site.
Revised plans by Mosaic Architecture + Design, based on the original submission, show a new internal layout to accommodate the change in use with the outward mass remaining as before.
