Your Tribe or Mine? Introducing the Travelers of the Future

Originally published on Hospitality Net By: Francisco Pérez-Lozao Ruter, President, Hospitality, Amadeus I just recently learned that I’m a Travel Tech-fluencer. What do I mean by that? Through extensive research and a survey of 10,000 global travelers, Amadeus looked into the future to understand what would drive traveler interests and habits by 2033. This insight produced 4 distinct Traveler Tribes – Travel Tech-fluencers, Excited Experientialists, Pioneering Pathfinders, and Memory Makers. By taking the survey myself, I learned I’m motivated by the latest technology and how it can make my trip smoother, memorable, and more rewarding. This is exactly the focus…

Glasgow hotel plan dropped in favor of student accommodation

A developer has progressed proposals for purpose built student accommodation in Glasgow city center after previously gaining consent for a hotel at the site. Caledon Property Group hopes to knock down the disused commercial buildings on the corner of Hutcheson Street and Trongate, and replace them with a 173-bed study housing facility. In February 2020, permission was granted by Glasgow City Council for a 157-bedroom aparthotel at the site. Revised plans by Mosaic Architecture + Design, based on the original submission, show a new internal layout to accommodate the change in use with the outward mass remaining as before. A…

Someone obviously spent a lot of dollars or rubles to put it together, but I didn’t feel threatened by it, nor by the people…
