Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific has begun a NZ$2.2 million project to refurbish the 68 apartments and common facilities of Club Wyndham Wanaka, due to conclude by the end of 2023. The resort’s renewal includes last year’s upgrades to the onsite gym, pool area and barbecue areas, a recently completed refresh of the reception area and lounge spaces, and a refurbishment of all apartments in the coming months. Proposed changes to alcohol legislation could threaten the future of many small license holders, says Hospitality New Zealand. McDonald’s annual New Zealand shopping list has been released, showing a record amount spent on ingredients for their much loved menu items. In 2022, $214 million was spent on local ingredients for New Zealand restaurants, while a whopping $384 million of produce was exported to other McDonald’s markets. That took the total spend with Kiwi producers to an all-time high of $598 million, $52 million more than in 2021.
